However, as far as I can see, you are no longer able to get this currency in your hands, as the events that dropped them no longer take place. Because Mordrem Blooms are no longer obtainable, the items offered cannot be purchased by players who were not present for the original event and do not have the currency. They can take various shapes, such as Mordrem Wolves appearing beast-like and the Mordrem Shield Blossoms as plant-like. The process of Mordremoth's corruption remained unclear at first such as whether the creatures were formed into new shapes from vegetation or if Mordremoth took animals and turned them into plant-like creations, but later evidence suggests that Mordremoth used both ways to create minions.

To maximise your own personal rewards, the best tactic was to be selfish: tag an event (kill a few Mordrem, attack the vine), then get out of combat and run / waypoint to the next event. This was the only way to reach 20 stacks of Invasion Defender, and thus earn the 15 Mordrem Blooms.
